Lost or stolen card
If your card is lost or stolen, please inform us immediately by emailing bioescalator.reception@medsci.ox.ac.uk.
We will inform the card office and they will stop the card. Reporting this loss quickly will prevent unauthorised use of the card.
The fee for a lost or stolen card is £15. There is no fee for replacing a stolen card where a crime number has been provided. The payment of £15 should be made by the student or staff member at the University's online store. Upon receipt of payment, you will be sent a new card. A new card will be issued with a new number, but it will not be sent until the card office receives payment.
Please note: If a lost or stolen card is recovered after a replacement has been requested, it cannot be used and must be returned to you for destruction. The barcode and internal DESFire Chip are changed after a card has been reported as lost or stolen. Unfortunately, the old card has effectively been cancelled and cannot be reactivated.
Damaged card
Damaged cards can be replaced free of charge.
If your card is damaged, please email bioescalator.reception@medsci.ox.ac.uk, provide your 7-digit card number, and we will email the card office to issue a replacement card.
Soon to expire
If your university card expires soon, please email bioescalator.reception@medsci.ox.ac.uk, provide your 7-digit card number, and we will email the card office to ask them to update your Salto record and issue a new, updated card.
